Mood: Nostalgic

For me, there's one major reason you cannot compare Kelly and Carrie. For Kelly, music is a passion - it's her destiny. She could never see herself doing anything else. She has said in interviews that she would be doing music regardless of if AI came along or not - it just may have taken her longer to get where she is today but she would still be making music. For carrie, it's more a whim and a lucky break and if this doesn't work out, oh well. She even said as much in a recent article - I can't find the direct quote but something about her not wanting it THAT badly and if it all went away, so be it. I'm not saying either way makes one better than the other mind you - I'm just saying I feel like they are in it for totally different reasons so comparing them is really like comparing the virtues of a dog to a cat haha
